Together with nine other international project partners, Rostock Port worked within the three-year project period (04/2019 - 03/2022) of the COMODALCE Interreg project on the improvement of cooperation and coordination among multimodal freight transport stakeholders in Central Europe through the use of innovative ICT systems. For example, detailed territorial need assessments were carried out in the regions involved, innovative ICT solutions were tested and action plans for a common transnational toolbox were drawn up.
One focus of the Rostock activities was the construction of a rail scanning facility for the digital recording of loading units in combined transport. In this context, a location analysis and a conceptual design planning for such a system were carried out.
Contents and results of the project as well as other future challenges will be discussed at the event on March 28th, 2022. Interested parties are cordially invited.
