Final Conference of the CORCAP Project on 9-10 March 2022
Since 2019 the partners of the CORCAP project (www.interreg-central.eu/corcap) cooperate for better coordination among stakeholders in the field of transport and spatial planning along the Orient/East-Med corridor, supporting the creation of an enviroment for more efficient rail freight in Central Europe. The results and findings of joint work will be presented and discussed with the European Coordinator Mathieu Grosch during the final conference, which will take place on 9-10 March 2022 as digital event.
The first day of the event will be focused on the outcomes of innovative pilot actions for multimodal freight transport, aimed at the improvement of the accessibility and connectivity of inland ports, the development of new intermodal services and the identification of attractive multimodal logistics locations. Additionally, the findings and recommendations from Corridor Capitalisation Plans for the Free State of Saxony, the Ústí Region, the South-Moravian Region, South-West Slovakia, Western Hungary and the Budapest Region will be presented.
On the second day of the event, the European Coordinator for the TEN-T Orient/East-Med Corridor Mathieu Grosch and a dedicated group of experts for transport development and spatial planning from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary and Germany will discuss challenges and perspectives for development of the OEM corridor, and how to further intensify the use of European, national and regional strategies to achieve the joint goals.
