Warnemünde passenger port expects seven first calls

"The 2025 Warnemünde cruise season begins with the call of AIDAmar on April 13th. 165 calls by 36 cruise ships from 22 national and international cruise shipping companies have been registered for the coming year. For example, the Rostock shipping company AIDA Cruises will make 68 turnaround calls in its base port of Warnemünde with AIDAdiva and AIDAmar," says Dr. Gernot Tesch, Managing Director of ROSTOCK PORT GmbH.

In 2025, seven cruise ships will call at the Warnow estuary for the first time: Viking Vela on May 12th, SeaDream2 on June 3rd, Carnival Miracle on June 12th, Vista on July 3rd, Viking Saturn on July 8th, Ilma on August 4th and Le Laperouse on August 21st.

Of the 165 calls, 110 were registered as passenger turnarounds and 55 as transit calls.

The 2025 cruise season is expected to end on December 17th with the call of Amadea of ​​the German shipping company Phönix Reisen.

"In the past season, 148 calls by 38 cruise ships were registered at the Warnemünde cruise port. The passenger ships used environmentally friendly shore power totaling around 2.7 million kilowatt hours on more than half of all calls, namely 79 calls. Cruise ships docked at the Warnemünde port on 114 of 365 days in 2024," summarizes ROSTOCK PORT Managing Director Jens A. Scharner.
