The Baltic Ports Organization thanks the host of the event – the Port of Klaipeda – and all partners for a fantastic conference!
On September 5 BPO Members gathered for General Assembly
Cooperation, proactive attitude and taking action were the main slogans that kept appearing regularly in presentations, discussion panels and behind-the-scenes conversations of Baltic Ports Conference speakers and participants. The current situation of ports in our region in the context of geopolitics, shipping outlook, transport policy, greening and the energy transition were widely discussed during the event in Klaipeda, Lithuania.
Adoption of the Management Board's report on the activities of BPO during the preceding year and approval of the financial annual report were the first points of the meeting.
Later a vote to extend the election of members of the BPO Board took place. As a result, dr Kimmo Naski (Port of HaminaKotka) remains in the postiion of Chairman, dr Gernot Tesch (ROSTOCK PORT) as Deputy Chairman and Martynas Armonaitis (Port of Klaipeda) as Deputy Chairman. A new member of the BPO Board was also elected, Alan Aleksandrowicz from the Port of Gdansk.
Last, but not least a date and venue for the next Baltic Ports Conference and General Assembly were chosen.
The host on 7 and 8 October 2025 will be the port of Gdansk in Poland.
