The port has three berths—10, 15, and 25—designed for handling particularly large and heavy cargo. In the area of Berth 15, ROSTOCK PORT GmbH has further upgraded the heavy-load areas. This area features a special pier with a heavy-duty rail track designed for a Liebherr crane with a lifting capacity of up to 1,600 metric tons. This opens up opportunities for handling extremely heavy project cargoes, while also increasing the location’s appeal for attracting additional companies involved in the production and assembly of heavy goods.
